What is Halsell?

Halsell is a worldwide marketplace that brings professional content creators to consumers looking for high quality content for their marketing and/or production needs. Depending on which license you purchase, our content can be used for editorial, national commercials, documentaries, feature films, book publications, and web campaigns.

How does a Halsell subscription work?

Right now we only offer monthly and yearly subscriptions for images. Our subscriptions give you the best deals for when you need content on a regular basis. When you sign up for a subscription, your payment is processed directly through Paypal. If you need to modify a subscription it is best to cancel your current one and sign up for a new subscription. Please reach out to our sales department if you incounter any difficulties.

How do I cancel my subscription?

All subscriptions must be cancelled within your Paypal account that you checked out with. If you cancel your subscription, you'll lose access to additional downloads. You may cancel your subscriptions anytime.

What can Halsell content be used for?

Each content is listed under a specific license. Given the content, it may be under a standard royalty-free license, enhanced royalty-free license, rights-managed, or editorial use only license. Please read our licensing agreement for further details regarding usage and limitations.

How does bundle purchases work?

You have 1 year from the date of purchase to use all the downloads in your bundle pack.

Can I share my subscription or license with other people?

This is not allowed and will generally result in your subscription being suspended. However we do offer a customized subscription that allows multiple users. To customize a subscription to your companies needs, please feel free to contact our sales department to have it arranged.

How do I receive a refund?

All sales are final on our platform. Once you start downloading content on your account we are unable to issue refunds. We understand that everyones situation is different so we encourage you to discuss with our sales department for any refund requests you may have.

How do I change my subscription?

We can change or upgrade your subscription at any time. Please reach out to our sales department before you make any changes to ensure accuracy in your download count.


Seller Questions

How do I start selling stock content?

You must have a creators account in order to upload content. If you do not have an account with Halsell, go to our Creator page to create an account. Fill in your profile details and start uploading right away. If you already have a customer account, you can enable your account for uploading in your account settings. However, once you change this you will not be able to change it back. If you feel like you've made a mistake, please contact us and we will manually revert your account back to a customer account.

Once you have created a creator account, you will be ready to start selling. When you upload your content it is automatically uploaded to our platform. No waiting for approval and or waiting in line. However, we do scan our recent uploads to ensure appropriate content is uploaded to our platform. If we encounter content that has violated our policy, it will be deleted immediately without warning.

What will my content be used for upon it selling to consumers?

Each content is listed under a specific license. Given the content, it may be under a standard royalty-free license, enhanced royalty-free license, rights-managed license or editorial use only license. Consumers may use content for feature films, documentaries, local or national commercials, web campaigns, or advertisements. Please read our license agreement for further details regarding usage and limitations.

What if I want to take my content down?

You may take down your content any time.

How often are payments made?

We automatically issue payments directly to your Paypal account every other Friday. Your account must exceed a current balance of $50 in order for your account to be eligible for payments of the current payroll period.

What are the commissions that created get paid?

We offer our creators the highest commissions in the industry at a competitive royalty of 50% on all content.

What if I want to sell my content for a higher price?

All prices are automatically set upon upload accordingly to the current market prices.

Who owns my content after I upload it?

You will always be the rightful owner of your content. You are not signing any rights away and only enter into a partnership with Halsell, LLC to promote and license your content.

Why do you need my tax information and government ID?

In order to comply with IRS regulations we have to collect a Form W-9 in order to pay you. The government ID is to ensure that we have genuine users and to prevent us from paying a fraudulent account. You may upload and sell content on our platform for as long as you want but we can not issue any payments to you until your tax information and government ID have been confirmed.

Can I still upload content if I live outside the U.S.?

Absolutely. Just refer to our Tax Center to obtain a Form W-8BEN, fill it out, and upload it under Tax Info in your Account Settings. You are responsible for the tax regulations in your country.

Why is there social interaction?

Our creator platform is designed for social interaction to help bring our creators together for a more enjoyable experience. We believe working together will help build a stronger community and greater works of art. You may like, comment, and follow other creators. However, our customer platform cannot view any of the social interactions. They will only be able to see your content, the author, and the price.

What if I am a creator and would also like to buy content?

When you create a seller account with Halsell you are automatically enabled to buy content. It is not neccessary to create another account.
